Privacy notice
What this website processes, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.
On this page
01Scope and responsibility
This notice applies to laser.cash. Laser is a U.S.-based open-source project with no registered legal entity. The individuals maintaining this website are responsible for the website processing they determine. For questions or requests, contact @photonicmoney on X and ask for a private channel before sending personal information.
This notice does not describe every independent node, software fork, wallet provider, explorer, repository, or social platform. Operating blockchain software involves additional network activity; see “Public blockchain information” below.
02Website requests and hosting
Vercel hosts and delivers the website. When you request a page, image, audio file, feed, or API response, the hosting infrastructure receives technical request information such as your IP address, requested URL, time of request, browser information, and HTTP headers. This processing delivers content, manages traffic, detects abuse, and supports security and troubleshooting.
Network summaries on some pages request public chain information through this website’s API proxy. They do not require a wallet address or private key. The proxy and its upstream service receive the technical information needed to handle those requests. See Vercel’s privacy notice for its own processing and its data-processing terms for customer services.
03Website analytics
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page traffic and improve content. Page-view information can include the URL, referrer, filtered query parameters, timestamp, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type. The site does not configure user identification, wallet-linked analytics, session recordings, or custom events.
Vercel describes its default analytics as aggregate measurement without third-party tracking cookies. It derives a visitor identifier from the incoming request and discards the visitor session after 24 hours. This is not a promise that all analytics records or hosting logs are deleted after 24 hours. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.
Do not put private keys, passwords, or other sensitive information in a website URL or query string. URLs and referrers can be included in technical records even on sites that have no account system.
04Fonts, external links, and communications
Pages load typefaces through Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google’s font services, which receive your IP address and the technical request information needed to deliver a compatible font. Google explains this service in its Google Fonts privacy statement.
Opening a link to GitHub, X, the explorer, or another service sends you to that service, whose own practices apply. If you contact the maintainers, they receive what you send, your contact or profile details, and the platform’s associated message information. That information is used to respond, handle requests, and maintain relevant records. Public replies and issues are visible to others; do not use them for sensitive information.
05Cookies, storage, and tracking choices
The website does not provide advertising accounts, advertising pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information collected through this website or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The site’s own application does not set login or advertising cookies. Hosting providers may use technical mechanisms for security and abuse prevention.
Browser caching can retain downloaded pages, fonts, images, and audio. Third-party code can have its own storage behavior; this notice does not promise that a visit creates no browser storage. You can manage cookies, cached files, scripts, and site storage in your browser. Blocking scripts stops website analytics and also disables interactive presentation features; the Markdown versions remain available.
Do Not Track: the current website does not automatically change analytics behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal. Because the website does not sell or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no such sale or sharing to opt out of. Applicable legally required privacy choices remain available through the contact channel in this notice.
06Public blockchain information
Addresses, public keys, transactions, balances, and block records can be public and replicated by independent nodes and explorers. A public address may be associated with a person through other information. Post-quantum signatures do not make transactions anonymous or confidential.
Browsing laser.cash does not itself sign or submit a blockchain transaction. If you run software or publish a transaction, you determine what you disclose to the network. The website maintainers cannot remove every copy held by independent participants or guarantee deletion from a public chain. Requests concerning information under the website maintainers’ control will still be assessed under applicable law.
07Purposes, recipients, and legal grounds
Information is used to deliver and protect the website, understand aggregate usage, respond to communications, resolve technical issues, and comply with legal obligations. Access may be provided to the maintainers and service providers for those purposes, or disclosed when legally required or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. Information is not used to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on visitors.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, website operation, proportionate security, aggregate usage analysis, and handling ordinary inquiries rely on legitimate interests, subject to the protections and balancing required by that law. Compliance with binding legal duties relies on legal obligation. Where a particular activity requires consent, consent must be obtained before that activity; merely reading this notice does not provide it.
08Retention and international processing
Communications are kept while needed to address the request and for any further period reasonably necessary to document its handling, maintain security, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. Retention is assessed according to the information’s purpose, sensitivity, and applicable requirements.
Hosting and analytics retention also depends on service settings and provider policies. Aggregate reporting can outlast a visitor session. Vercel’s reporting-window documentation explains that a reporting window is not necessarily a deletion deadline. Public blockchain copies may persist independently of this website.
The project is based in the United States, and service providers operate internationally. Information may be processed outside your country, where laws differ. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, the relevant transfer mechanism and provider arrangements must apply. Contact the maintainers to ask about arrangements relevant to your information.
09Your requests and rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of your personal information; to object to processing; to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and to complain to a competent data-protection authority. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. The availability and scope of each right depend on the circumstances.
Contact @photonicmoney on X to make a request. Describe the request without posting sensitive information publicly. The maintainers may request proportionate verification and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Technical or aggregate records may not be linkable to you; the maintainers will explain relevant limitations rather than promise identification or erasure of records they do not control. Applicable rights will not be withheld because you exercise another privacy right.
10Security and notice updates
No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee complete security. Send only information needed for your request and never send wallet credentials. If information about a child has been submitted and you want it reviewed or removed, use the same contact channel.
Material changes to these practices will be reflected in this notice and its revised date. Additional notice or consent will be provided or obtained where legally required. This notice describes information handling; it does not require you to surrender a privacy right.
