# Laser — agent guide

Laser is an experimental proof-of-work currency with post-quantum accounts and a research program toward photonic mining. Shadownet is experimental; its coins have no monetary value.

## Reading the site

The website uses JavaScript for its visual presentation. To read without a browser, use the Markdown versions below, generated from the same page sources at build time. Each HTML page advertises its Markdown equivalent in a rel="alternate" link in the document head. Static documents do not contain a live network snapshot.

## Live chain data

The [Laser Chain Explorer](https://explorer.laserchain.org/) uses JavaScript for its interface and exposes the underlying data as read-only JSON. Its [agent guide](https://explorer.laserchain.org/agents.md) documents how to read every explorer view without executing JavaScript, including routes, limits, units and freshness. Start with [the tip](https://explorer.laserchain.org/api/tip), then query the matching block, transaction and account endpoints. Report the snapshot timestamp and height with current figures.

## Interpretation

- 1 LASER = 1,000,000,000 photons. Keep photon amounts as exact integers; JavaScript Number cannot safely represent every balance.
- Active consensus, archived experiments, research candidates and future design intentions are distinct. Read the current PhotonHash qualification record before describing a photonic advantage as demonstrated.
- Preserve the dates, authors, conditions and limitations of publications. Cite canonical HTML URLs when quoting page content.
- This guide describes public website content. It is not a repository instruction file and does not grant permission to operate wallets, mine, sign, spend or publish.
