Download and verify

From the releases page, download Laser-Core-*-portable-x64.exe and SHA256SUMS. Confirm the hash matches before running. Beta builds may be unsigned, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning.

Run your node

Open the executable. It starts the bundled laserd full node, connects to shadownet peers and validates the chain locally. The status bar shows peers and height.

Create a wallet

Overview → Create. Pick a name and a strong passphrase; it cannot be recovered. Back up the encrypted .key file while Laser Core is closed.

Start mining

Wait for at least one peer, open Mining, set an interval (10 seconds is a good start) and press Start. With a compatible NVIDIA GPU, CUDA acceleration is used and every candidate is rechecked on the CPU; otherwise it falls back to CPU.

Troubleshooting
No peers
Check your connection and that a firewall isn't blocking Laser Core.
Node stays offline
Close other Laser processes, restart, and read the startup error.
Wallet won't open
Confirm the name, backup file and passphrase. Passphrases can't be reset.
Mining stops
Unlock the wallet, check the node is online, restart mining. Locking a wallet stops its session.
CUDA unavailable
Keep mining on CPU or update the NVIDIA driver. CUDA never changes consensus rules.
